The only downside of this home is that your in-game family can't move here. Castle Volkihar is one of the best player homes in Skyrim because of its sheer size and unique-looking design. You first encounter the Abandoned Shack when Astrid takes you to this location at the beginning of The Dark Brotherhood questline. Although the Abandoned Shack doesn't belong to you, you can use the bed, and you're the only character that can visit the shack after Astrid leaves. However, the storage containers inside the Abandoned Shack aren't safe to leave items in because they can respawn.
Not to mention, going through all of the hassle of actually being able to buy the house, which often involves completing a number of quests, will take up a lot of your time. Located between Falkreath and Riverwood, Lakeview Manor is one of three homes that can be built with the Hearthfire add-on. Lakeview Manor, as its name suggests, has a terrific view of Lake Ilinalta. Lakeview Manor is unique to other Hearthfire houses because a beehive may be added to the property.
Heljarchen Hall
Proventus Avenicci, Jarl Balgruuf's steward, will give the Dragonborn the key to the Skyrim player's home in Whiterun once they've completed the main quest, "Dragon Rising." In Skyrim, the player house in Whiterun called Breezehome can be purchased for 5,000 gold. The Gallows Hall is a home tailor-made for Necromancers as a place where people "both wicked and misunderstood" were hung to death.
To make Honeyside cheaper, talk to Anuriel with at least 5,000 Gold and purchase the house. These properties generally possess safe containers that do not respawn, making them just as great as a normal house until you have enough money to purchase a property. Lund's Hut, north-northwest of Rorikstead, is a farm house with a non-functioning bed. The land for Heljarchen Hall lies north of Loreius Farm and west of Blizzard Rest. In Solitude, players need only do a small quest in order to purchase the house from the steward, but the fee is a hefty 25,000 gold. These places are worth the price, though; homes allow players to have families, rest, creating new things, and store some of Skyrim's weapons and armor. This bug is fixed by version 1.0 of the Unofficial Dawnguard Patch. Houses in Skyrim are buildings in which you may sleep and safely store items in non-respawning containers. Several major cities have houses available for purchase of varying size, quality, and cost. There is no limit to how many homes you may own, only a limit on how many houses are available.

Interestingly enough, purchasing this house is required to finish the No Stone Unturned quest, since one of the Stones of Barenziah is located inside the house. Breezehome is one of the first home-buying options in the game. Breezehome is located in Whiterun, available for purchase for 5000 gold after completing the Bleak Falls Barrow quest. It's definitely a good choice for those who like spending their time in Whiterun; but for someone who isn't particularly attached to Whiterun, this house doesn't have a lot of great features. It's the only home in the game that lacks the option to have an enchanting table. However, it has quite a bit of storage in the alchemy lab and is pretty conveniently located inside Whiterun, allowing you to reach a lot of areas you'll want to visit often pretty quickly.
